FAQs

“How can I get help from Earlsfield Foodbank?”

You may be referred to us by frontline care professionals such as social workers, health visitors and teachers, who identify people in need, or you can come to the Foodbank or contact us to ask for help directly – we’ll never turn someone away.

“What if I don’t live in Earlsfield?”

If you live outside our area, we can help you find alternatives closer to you. You can look at the areas we serve, where we also have a list of useful contacts. .

“How long can I receive help for?”

You can receive our help for as long or short a time as you need it – all we ask is that you check in with us on a regular basis and let us know once you no longer need our help.

“Do I need a referral, or proof that I need your help?”

No, you can self-refer. All guests go through a short registration interview when they register. This enables us to understand how best we can help you.

“What’s in the bags?”

We aim to provide you with three days’ worth of food. You will receive two bags (or more, depending on the number of people in your household), one of general groceries and one of fruit, vegetables, bread and eggs.

“Can you take my special dietary requirements into account?”

As far as we can, yes. We ask you to let us know what these may be, whether vegetarian, Halal, gluten-free etc. then we will try our best to cater for these needs.

“Will my bags cater for my whole family?”

Yes – when you register with us, we make a note of the number of people in your family and ask for the ages of your children – that way, we can make sure there’s three days of food for everyone.
